The Love Grows: February Events
And just like that, we’re already wading into the second month of 2017. Time may fly fast, but we’re taking the opportunity to ride the culture carpet and spread community through out the neighborhood and beyond. February, like every other month of the year, is about love and appreciation. So this month is dedicated to all of those who support local business and artists unconditionally. Take a look at how we’re making February as beautiful as each and every one of you.
Starting off the month is one of our most exciting event series, and a completely new one too: Roast Miami. This isn’t a panel. It’s a #RealTalk series focusing on some of Miami’s most powerful influencers who are actually making a difference and inciting change within their own realms of work. On Wednesday, February 8th, you’ll tune into 3 intimate conversations happening simultaneously by walking in and out of room at Filling Station Lofts using silent headphones by Sound Off. Topics include leadership, entrepreneurial innovation, and the music scene. Make sure to RSVP and find out more about each speaker and their respective moderators.
We take a breather mid-month for another magical Miami Flea Sunday, February 19th. As usual, you’ll be able to stroll the A+E land while weaving in and out of pop-ups by local makers, artisans, thrift crusaders, vintage mavens, and other fun activations along the way. The grub garden will be stacked once again with the flavors of local favorite eateries featuring a massive bar and BBQ outpost by neighborhood hangout, ACME Lounge. Take in the sounds of Miami’s budding musical talents, and bring your furry friend for dog-safe lazing. Meet the vendors and find out more here.
Rounding out our February calendar is another new series launching in the A+E: Moonlight Grooves. This is our take on an edgier, more living room-esque experience, where music floods the Canvas backlot for the ultimate creative atmosphere. For our first jam session, we invite the beloved local stylings of Elastic Bond for their album release celebration and an opening set by Mr. Pauer. But that’s not all. We’re also putting A+E eateries on the map for a special “Taste of A+E” section featuring neighborhood favorites like Vice City Bean and ACME Lounge, plus delicious food trucks and more. Make sure to RSVP here.
